Mare Ingenii, 2091. You are DRONE-01 of mining swarm BORE-1 — one drone among many, and the only one with a pilot. Bore the regolith, haul ilmenite and volatiles back to the plant, drop beacons the rest of the swarm will follow, and print more of yourself. Every tonne you land builds the surface plant out another module, and the surplus flies to Earth orbit. Somewhere across the mare, HELIOS EXTRACTION is doing exactly the same thing, and there is only one seam worth having.
An original fan-made game for the Lunar Arcade. Inspired by a 1991 colony-sim classic — no original code, art or data is used or distributed here.
Cargo is picked up and unloaded automatically — bore a seam until it breaks, then fly home through your own tunnels.
Autoplay runs the whole colony for you — it prospects by scent, hauls, drops its own beacons, defends the fabricator and eventually mounts an assault. Touch any movement key and you take the controls straight back.
Every tonne delivered builds the surface plant out: solar arrays, a high-gain dish, volatile tanks, radiators, a habitat dome. Once the launch pad is up, surplus ore above the printing reserve is flown to Earth orbit — that tonnage is your score, and the plant keeps growing as it climbs.
